As I have previously stated, President Obama, gave one of the best speeches of his life in his Farewell Address. He sounded idealist, moral, and intelligent. One can wonder, what can anyone say against him? What is the anti-thesis?
As we all know, RG believes there is always an anti-thesis. And here is RG’s perception of an anti-thesis to Obama:
With all his integrity and desire to do good, Obama is a politician. He won both elections, by being supported the various groups, especially white Progressives, women, Hispanics, and African Americans. Thus as a President he was committed to benefit these groups, often at the expense of other groups, especially the Conservatives.
In 2008 Reverend Wright, Obama’s minister and good friend, created a scandal and threatened Obama’s election, by saying such things as “G** damn America.” It was reported — a report that seems credible — that Obama told Wright to silence himself, and he would help the black community as much as he could once he had the chance. Wright wouldn’t be disappointed.
In advocating for the African American community, Obama partially participated in the black con — a pattern of dysfunctional and racial beliefs that often help the black community at the expense of the white community.
One example of this participation in the black con is Obamacare. Obama proclaims very proudly of how 19 million people are now covered by health insurance now who were not covered before. However, he doesn’t mention the racial aspects of Obamacare — that a large number of African Americans and Hispanics were now covered, and this was paid for largely by the white working community. Any mention of this reality is considered racist and therefore evil.
However, large numbers of people who have never contributed to the economy, include prisoners, ex-convicts, illegal immigrants, and people in the welfare system, get totally free health care, with Medicaid — and often better health care than people who have worked their entire lives. And these working people have seen their premiums double, deductibles risen, and choices of doctors limited.
As an example, one working couple I interviewed had one child. The made a moderate, middle income. Their health insurance was $800 a month; they had a $2,000 a year deductible for doctor visits; and a $7,000 a year deductible for hospital visits. The whole family was in good health, and when they needed to see a doctor or go to the emergency room, they had to pay cash. They got nothing for their health insurance. At the same time they knew people who have a Medicaid card, who get better health care and better coverage, including dental care, totally free — with no deductibles and no co-payments. All they have to do is show their card. Among health care workers, this card is often called the “American Express Card of health insurance.”
This couple, and people like them, are paying for those 19 million people who were getting free or subsidized health insurance. And many of these paying people are the ones who are against Obamacare. (See RG’s ideas on an alternate system.)
Because Obama is basically an honest man, when he does tell a political lie, most people tend to believe him. Thus when he stared directly into the camera and told working people that they could keep their insurance plans, keep their doctor, and that their premiums would go down, people believed him — another example of the black con.
Still another example of the black con in Obama’s speech is that he mentioned that the (white) concept of a post-racial era was not a reality. In the traditional pattern of rubbing white America’s noses in the reality of racial problems, he talked of how there was still economic disparity. The effects of slavery and Jim Crow (oppression of which all whites are responsible) are still with us.
He didn’t talk about the main cause of this disparity: the 70% illiegitimacy rate and the refusal of the majority of black men to fulfill their parental duties — especially their social duty to raise their sons to work hard and play by the rules.
Obama also alluded to the pattern of continued racial discrimination, but didn’t mention one of the major causes of this discrimination: that black men have over 3x the rate of murder, assault, and theft as men in other racial groups.
Still another example of the black con is when, in his Farewell Address, Obama declared pride in the economic recovery. And certainly the economy did recover.
But what he didn’t mention is how he did it. He borrowed, on average, over $1 trillion a year to pay for his programs and to pump up the economy. (One reason no one talks about Obama’s $10 trillion debt increase — 2x the combined amount that all past Presidents went into debt — is that few people understand how much $1 trillion actually is!
(A trillion dollars is a thousand, thousand million dollars. A trillion dollars is a thousand billion dollars. It is 10,000,000,000 $100 dollar bills. It is $1,000,000,000,000.)
And who’s going to pay that debt? Of course, it will never be repaid. But who will pay the interest on that debt for the foreseeable future? And what is the racial make-up of these interest payers?
The current interest on this debt is around 1% and amounts to around $250 billion a year. The historical interest on national debt is around 3%, and thus the interest payments will probably eventually amount to over $750 billion a year.
The top 10% of income earners (and economic contributors) will pay 50% of this interest and the top 50% to 90% will pay the rest. The lower 50% (actually 47%) will pay nothing.
Is it any wonder that the lower 50% of U.S.’s earners care nothing about the national debt, and want all the programs they can get which benefit them, regardless of the cost, and the top 50% of income earners are generally against increasing the debt. In addition, the top 10% income earners — who are now, individually, over $1 million in debt and pay 50% of the national debt’s interest costs — are very concerned about this debt.
And what is the racial make-up of these groups? What race benefits and what race pays? Whites pay of 90% of all federal expenses, including the interest of the debt.
Ladies and gentlemen, I present to you the black con.
