Who knows what’s going on?? One thing for sure, no one does. But I guess this is good for the ratings on all the political talk shows. Everyone has an opinion.
Another thing for sure is that no one has ever known what has been going on since Trump started to win in the primaries.
So what does Eddie think? (I’m sure you’re dying to know.)
It seems as there has been a policy with the Justice Department (and James Comey, the FBI Director, is an employee with the Justice Department) has had a long policy of not releasing any news that would effect the election.
But it seems that Comey made a promise to Congress that he would release any new information in the investigation of Hillary Clinton. So he decided to break with tradition.
Now the problem is that Huma Abedin has “tens of thousands” of email on her estranged husband’s computer. Now what do we do?
Trump supporters – in the swamp since his “sexual predator” accusers came out of the woodwork – now have a burst of light, a glimmer or hope.
The chances are – I would guess over 80% — that there’s nothing in the emails that will change the FBI’s original conclusion: that Hillary did nothing they will indict her for. But who knows? “Tens of thousands” is a pretty big number.
Perhaps Abedin shared confidential information – although perhaps not a confidential documents – with others. Perhaps Anthony Weiner got hold of some information and gave it to others. Perhaps the FBI will get information that the Russians or some Muslim extremist group hacked Weiner’s unsecured computer. Abedin’s mother works for a Muslim organization. Perhaps Abedin gave her some confidential information.
Any one of these scenarios might give Trump a victory. Then we have the sad case that Weiner decided the Presidential election! (After all, the FBI wouldn’t have seized his computer if he didn’t get caught sexting a 15 year-old.)
Here’s Eddie’s prediction: Abedin will quit working for Hillary, saying she doesn’t want to be a distraction. Then Hillary can say that the investigation into Abedin’s emails has nothing to do with her. She didn’t even know Abedin was using an unsecured computer.
The main issues
The main issues between Hillary and Trump seems to me to be this:
With Hillary we will have a basically Hispanic dominated country in 50 years, and one fairly torn apart by Islamic fundamentalists. (Having an Hispanic dominated country may be a good thing, but the American citizens should have a choice over who gets to come to the country and who doesn’t. The choice shouldn’t be given to illegal immigrants.)
What happened in 1986 will probably happened again, but with steroids. In 1986, the democrats deceived Americans by saying they will make all the illegal immigrants legal and then really, really control illegal immigration. This resulted in around 11 million more illegal immigrants in 2016, plus around 4 million children who were born here by illegal immigrants – who add around 50,000 more voters per day – nearly all who will vote for politicians who will increase Hispanic immigration (their extended families and friends). This means that most of them will vote Democratic and the Republican party will be dead.
Thus in another 20 years or so, we will probably have another 10 to 30 million illegal immigrants, who will again get amnesty, and then an additional huge increase in legal Hispanic immigration because politicians will have to vote for “family re-unification.”
Also Hillary wants to increase Muslim immigration by 500%, and probably even more in the future. Muslim citizens – who vote – will want even more Muslim immigration. “We must have more diversity in this country!….. And less racism.”
The more Muslims in the U.S., and the more freedoms they are given, the higher the probability of periodic acts of terrorism. This is exactly what has happened in France, Belgium, and England. And this is exactly why Britain has chosen to opt out of the European Union and tighten it’s borders. That small country can’t afford an increase of its Muslim population. Of all the European countries, Muslims want to go to England the most. This is because in England they are treated the best and get the most freedoms. In fact, the Mayor of London now is Muslim. As we have seen in Belgium, France, and England, the most liberal and compassionate countries towards Muslims are the sites of the most terrorism and the most hatred towards infidels.
Jihadists want a country controlled by Islam so all people can live in peace and achieve paradise after death. And these jihadists are willing to fight and die for this goal of the Koran.
Most of Muslims – over 90% — are good Muslims and only want to be good citizens. But over 1% want to follow the literal interpretation of the Koran and the example of Mohammed. And therein lies the problem.
(In the U.S. there are around 5 million Muslims. This means that there are probably over 50,000 Muslims (1%) who are willing to kill and to die for jihad. In the world, there are around 1 billion Muslims. This means that there are probably over 10 million Muslims (1%) who are willing to kill and to die for Jihad.)
What about Donald?
Trump’s stands on the major issues are………who knows? Who really knows what he will do if elected. Only one thing is fairly certain, he will be entertaining. Trump versus Hillary may be a classic case of “A bird in the hand is better than two in the bush.” (And isn’t it interesting how some of these classic aphorisms seem so often to be true? I guess that’s why they still exist.)
One other thing that is fairly certain: there will be in increase in the probability of a useless and meaningless war (“I will bomb the shit out of ISIS”). There will also be an increase in the probability of endless riots and demonstrations over groups demanding neurotic freedom, equality, and justice — especially the freedom of anyone in the world to come to the U.S. (by any means necessary) and eventually become citizens. To achieve these neurotic demands, these groups will demand an increase on the restriction of freedom of thought and speech, using the Progressive Inquisition.
Moore on Trump
I went to the Michael Moore film attacking Trump and supporting Hillary. It was very good. Moore has an ability to be persuasive in dealing with gut wrenching topics while making everyone laugh.
He espoused the usual liberal policies – what I call – naïve idealism — including: we should let out of jail all convicted non-violent drug dealers; we should convict all cops who kill unarmed black men; we should send every citizens a few joints every Friday to make their weekend higher; we should take all the money from the rich people (like him) and distribute it to the lower classes; all college should be free; only women should be able to own and use guns (actually an interesting policy), anyone in the world who wants to have a better life should be able to come to America and become a citizen; and every citizen should have the maximum health care that modern technology can provide, regardless of cost — and of course it all should be free (somehow).
This naïve idealism is often the result of youthful — or academic — idealism of people who haven’t lived long enough, or worked in a real job long enough, to see some of the unintended consequences of naive idealism. One good example is President Obama getting a Nobel peace prize and pursuing a policy of “ending wars, not starting them.” A more experienced person can see one horrendous unintended consequence of this idealist attitude towards war: the suffering of millions of people in the Mideast.
However Moore made one good point. He described with accurate empathy the feelings of working class Americans who have been screwed with the following political policies: our trade policies which have shifted all their jobs to Mexico and China; a health care system where 15 million more people get free health care and they have their premiums doubled and the costs of their deductibles tripled; and an increase of racialism, where hard working, law-abiding white men are scapegoated as the cause of most of the social problems.
So Moore concluded that they want to send a big “f*** you” to the political and economic establishment. However, Moore stated, after this emotionally healthy “f*** you,” working class America will have to deal with Trump for four years, if he is elected. And what Trump will do is anyone’s guess.
Conclusion
Vote whoever you think is best for the country on election day (forget about your personal self-interest). If you are in a swing state, vote for Hillary or Trump. If you are in as state where Hillary or Trump is definitely going to win, and you don’t like either of them, consider writing-in good ole Existential Eddie.
