Below is a short definition of the various “cons” that are described in RG’s campaign and Clear News..
Some of these definitions have hyperlinks that will allow the reader to read a fuller description of the con.
A definition of the general con
The con is a set of dysfunctional (and thus false) beliefs that serve as a political tool to attempt to further the social/political/economic interests of various individuals or groups.
The goal of these groups is to influence — or try to force — the society at large to accept these dysfunctional beliefs and to prohibit beliefs that contradict the con. Many of these dysfunctional beliefs can be summarized in the progressive con.
The progressive con
Basic dysfunctional beliefs:
Any change is good. The status quo is bad. All races and all individuals should have an equal income, regardless of their talent, or how much work they — or their ancestors –did. All nations must have the same income and the same quality of life. The progressive con supports all the other cons in that they support change. Any change is better than this evil, immoral, and corrupt system we live in.
Here are some of the specific cons:
The black con
These are the set of dysfunctional beliefs that have the goal to further the interests of the African American community. Among these dysfunctional beliefs are the following:
The freedom from responsibility: White men, specifically their white racism, are the cause of all society’s problems — as well as all the problems of the world. African Americans, individually or as a group, are responsible for no dysfunctional or evil behavior.
The immaculate black and the moral blank check: African Americans are free of all sin. They can do no wrong. Only white people can sin — since they are in the majority, and have the majority of political and social power. Only they can guilty of racism. All apparent immorality among African Americans — theft, assault, murder, irresponsible fornication, and fraud — is caused by white racism.
Any criticism of a black person, or a person of color, is racist. Any pointing out a flaw in the African American culture is also racist. Any pointing our an imperfection in the European-American culture is considered of the highest moral order, since it is true.
The word “black” includes all people of color. European men and European-American are evil and all other people (of color) are good. White people are the cause of all evil and all suffering in the world, either historically or presently.” “Color” includes people of any skin color, and any tone of color, except pure white, that is, 100% European-American skin color. Judge people not by the content of their character, but rather by the color of their skin.
The lawyer con
Basic dysfunctional beliefs:
Lawyers are entitled to earn 10 times the earnings of the average American worker. This is because they are ethically superior, intellectually superior, higher educated, and harder working, and because they are in debt from law school loans.
They are entitled to get a cut out of virtually every financial transaction in the economy. They have the right to sue anyone for anything. They have the right to make $200 an hour — or more — out of every accident, mistake, or neglect that happens in the society.
The immigrant con
Basic dysfunctional beliefs:
Any person in the world — especially any person of color — has the right to eventually become an American citizen once they get their feet on American soil, by any means necessary.
Any illegal immigrant who has a child while on American soil, that child will be a citizen. This guarantees the mother and father of eventual citizenship. It guarantees that the child has a right to a home, food, basic income, and health care. Since the child needs his mother, the mother is guaranteed the same benefits.
U.S. citizens have no right to control their borders, to have immigration laws (that are actually implemented) or to deport even one illegal immigrant.
The feminist con
Basic beliefs:
Women are good and men are bad.
Women are morally pure and men are morally corrupt. Men are predators, while women are homemakers.
Men are lazy and women are industrious.
All problems in the world — either historically or presently — are men’s fault, specifically white men (because of the black con — see above.)
All problems of women — in the end — are cause by men, specifically male sexism.
Men have never contributed anything good to women’s lives.
Women need man like fish need bicycles.
If women weren’t historically oppressed, they would have accomplished all the achievements that men have created.
All women must have the same outcomes in every field as men. They must make as much money as men in every field. (The fact that the wives of upper income men get half their husband’s income doesn’t count. Nor does it count that wives usually get all of their husband’s wealth when he dies, which is usually ten years before his wife dies.)
The poverty con
Basic dysfunctional beliefs:
Poor people are good and rich people are bad. People with money did nothing to earn their money except exploit poor people.
All dysfunctional behavior among poor people is caused by the oppression by people with money.
Poor people are just as functional, intelligent, talented, and hard-working as rich people.
Since all people are created equal, if there wasn’t the immoral oppression of the rich over the poor, everyone would have an equal amount of wealth and an equal amount of success in life.
Any suggestion that some people have less money than others because of less work, less talent, or a less developed culture is racist and evil.
If everyone had the same amount of income and wealth, it would be an ideal society. Everyone would be happy; there would be no crime; there would be world peace; the economy would function well; and we would have a sustainable world.
The solution to virtually every social and political problem is to have a government that would legally mandate that there be equality among all people and in all fields.
Summary
Variations of these cons are found throughout the political “conversations” in America. Any facts, thoughts, or lines of reasoning that contradict these cons are often considered taboo, immoral, and sometimes even illegal. People who hold an anti-thesis to any of these dysfunctional beliefs can be cancelled — that it, their careers can be destroyed and they can be socially ostracized.
